Our dear friend Joan Taylor died and went to be with the Lord on 6 January 2015. Her funeral service took place at St. Margaret's Church, Moshi in Tanzania on 13 January 2015. The order of service is attached to this page as a PDF file. Parts of it are reproduced here.

We the family of the late Joan Agnes Taylor are most grateful to God for the life of our beloved sister, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. We thank God for giving us peace, strength and joy following her passing on to eternity on 6th January 2015. We wish to express our very profound gratitude to all relatives, friends (local and international) and well wishers who have stood with us and given us tremendous support in the form of prayers, personal visits, messages of comfort, consolation as well as spiritual support. You all have touched our lives deeply and we thank God for all of you. Since it is not possible to mention each one of you by name, kindly accept this message as an expression of our heartfelt appreciation and sincere thanks to all of you.

History of Joan Agnes Taylor MBE
Joe and Joan came to Tanzania as missionaries with the Bible Churchman’s Missionary Society to serve at the Diocese of Central Tanganyika - Unguu Berega Hospital, Kilosa and then moved to Mvumi Hospital Dodoma where they developed hospital services to train health workers at all levels.
They moved to Moshi KCMC in 1971 and served as GSF Secretary, establishing AMO School and the Idara ya Macho in 1971.
Joan was also an advisor to the establishment of the Diocese of Mount Kilimanjaro with the late Bishop Alpha Mohammed since 1982. She served on the board for International School Moshi and was Consulate Representative for Kilimanjaro for which she received her MBE.
Joe and Joan left Tanzania in 1988.
Joan loved Tanzania, the country and its people that God sent her to serve. Both Joan and Joe leave a legacy for Jesus that reach into eternity. We praise God for his faithfulness and abundant blessings in and through the life of Joan Agnes Taylor.
